Sailing Lessons

One of the most rewarding activities that Jacks Boat rentals provides is Sailing lessons. This year we have stepped up our effort to teach people how to sail, lessons will be offered at our Cliff Pond location at Nickerson State Park in Brewster and our Gull Pond location in Wellfleet. Lessons are taught on Sunfish sailboats and are one hour long, the fee is $60.00 which includes a private instructor. Sunfish sailboats are very easy for the beginner to master and if after taking your first lesson, your instructor feels you are capable, you will be able to take a boat on your own to put into practice what you have just learned. I must warn you, learning to sail can be very addictive leading to the possibility of acquiring your own sailboat. Stand up paddleboards otherwise known as SUP boards.

The use of SUP boards are one of the fastest growing activities as they allow people to enjoy the water and work all of their core mussels at the same time.
Once you get your sea legs on flat water you can try something more challanging and take to the surf. A SUP border has a distinct advantage of catching
waves, because you are already in a standing position it allows one to view the comming waves and not only pick the one you want, but catch it as well.
It is obvious people are having a blast with this relitavely new activity. Jacks has just added 12 new SUP boards to the fleet in a effort to keep up with the
demand, if your looking for something challanging and exciting this could be just the thing your looking for.

Pamet River Charters

One activity you might like to explore is deep sea fishing. Pamet Harbor Charters is run by a close friend by the name of Joe Francis, He has a long family history on the Cape and his roots go quite deep. Joe has been a commerical fisherman most of his life and is now the Truro harbor master, in addition he runs fishing charters.
